In December of 2010, Kip found this glorious reflection of El Capitan in the Merced River, the largest river flowing from Yosemite Valley. Using a timed exposure, Kip was able to capture nature’s beauty at its best. The contrast between the snow, clouds and El Capitan’s massive features came together to create this striking image. Working quickly and hoping for the wind to finally die-down, he made a one second exposure using his cannon EOS 5D Mark II, with a 14mm F2.8 lens.
